The question

You built it. Now make it worth something.

Millions of people are building apps, agents, APIs and tools with AI. Most will never become marketers or operators. That doesn't make the work worthless. It makes it a digital asset someone else will pay for.

Even without revenue, a product has value: its code, its design, its users, its domain, and the months it saves the next owner. BuildMarket understands what you built, shows it to buyers the way it deserves, and turns it into a sale or a license.

  • Code

Stack, features with evidence, maturity, tests, security and rebuild cost — read straight from the folder you drop.

  • Product

Real screenshots of the running app, desktop and mobile, scanned for personal data before you approve them.

  • Revenue & users

MRR, churn, users and audience, verified from Stripe, RevenueCat, Paddle or Lemon Squeezy where connected.

  • Transferability

Docs, config examples, deployment setup and domains: how fast a buyer can take over.

What BuildMarket analyzes

Dozens of signals. Every one labelled.

Data read from connected accounts is marked verified. Numbers you type are marked seller reported. Our own observations are marked BuildMarket analyzed. Buyers always know which is which.

BuildScore

One number buyers can trust

Every analyzed project gets a BuildScore from 0 to 100, built from five components of 20 points each. Verified inputs strengthen confidence but never inflate value on their own. For pre-revenue products, traction is weighted on users, waitlists and audience instead of revenue.

  • Product — completeness, live status, onboarding, docs
  • Technology — tests, CI, hygiene, maturity, security
  • Traction — revenue, growth, churn, users
  • Business — model, margin, workload, channels
  • Transferability — docs, config, deploy, domain, licensing

Questions, answered

How is the number calculated?

A deterministic, versioned engine. Revenue products use category ARR multiples adjusted for growth, churn, margin, concentration and verification. Pre-revenue products use replacement cost (hours × blended rate, discounted to what buyers pay), completeness, traction and transferability, capped by category. Comparable sales blend in when we have enough of them.

Why a range?

Because a single number would be a lie. The spread reflects confidence: mostly verified inputs give a tight range; seller-reported or missing inputs widen it.

Is AI involved?

Only for the narrative. The numbers come from the rules engine and stored inputs, so the same inputs always give the same result. Every report records the engine version and an input snapshot.

Does connecting GitHub expose my code?

No. We read structure, history and manifests through a read-only GitHub App you install on the repositories you choose. We never execute code and never store source. Only derived metrics are kept.

What if the report fails?

You're refunded automatically within the refund window.
