Questions, answered
Do I need the seller report to list?
No. Listing is free with or without it. The report adds a BuildScore, suggested prices and the generated sales page, which is what buyers filter and decide by, and its fee is credited back when the project sells.
Who holds the money?
Never BuildMarket. Buyers pay the escrow provider directly. Funds release to you when the buyer confirms receipt after inspection.
What do I actually transfer?
Individual assets: the repository (via GitHub transfer), the domain (EPP/push), hosting projects, app-store apps (via Apple/Google transfer), design files, docs. Never your personal accounts, never secrets.
Can I keep my product and still earn?
Yes. Sell non-exclusive licenses (Starter, Agency, Extended) to the code. Buyers pay by card, you receive the payout via Stripe minus the license fee.
What if the buyer disappears?
Both parties have 72 hours to accept the purchase agreement. If they don't, the deal cancels and your listing goes back live automatically.
